RANDOM THOUGHTS and STORIES

random thoughts

I often find myself amused at something that has crossed my own mind, random thoughts.  In traffic, waiting for the light to turn green or occasionally, walking through the grocery store.  Frequently, my thought will have had absolutely nothing to do with anything that is happening or has been part of any discussion.  This is a trait I enjoy about myself.  The ability to have a deep thought or silly thought to bring me giggles.  I love it more when a thought crosses my mind and I can’t help but to burst out laughing.

Sure, folks around me probably think I am a little on the crazy, loop-dee-loo side.  Little do they know how right they are about that!  I say that now a giggle again.  So I decided that I need to share some of these random thoughts.  I will share them as they come, with periodic updates to this.  Be sure to check back often to see what has been added.  I hope to be thought provoking or witty enough my readers will also enjoy my thoughts.

Random Thoughts Begin

Sitting in bed watching an action film with my family.  I think, “Stupid is as Stupid does” — Forrest Gump quote.  No reference to the movie or anything happening with my family.  Just the quote flashed through my mind.  Did you know there is a Bubba Gump Cookbook?  Check it out.  (Not that I am saying that is stupid either).  There is a link for it on my Cooking Food & Wine page.

Bigfoot Series – To date, I have six related articles in that series. Follow my personal introduction to Bigfoot, where I feel the popular TV show (Finding Bigfoot) went wrong and entertaining other monsters. Even read a scary campfire story, surely drawing inspiration from the monsters we create in our imaginations.

Child’s Writing – These are the results of writing assignments my son has been given while in elementary school.  His growth and accomplishments make me so proud.  His imagination is wonderful!  Silly as it may seem, I like to save these gems just like I save certain pieces of clothing to add to his treasure chest.  The treasure chest is a plastic tote with a lid of memorabilia from his life from birth until he becomes an adult. One that is ready to settle down with his own family.

Coffee with the Ladies – We have a great coffee we are promoting right now that is excellent for weight loss and has partner products for additional nutritional supplements.  As I was contemplating how and what to include in those promotion pages, I went back in time to remember my first experience of “coffee time”.  Making coffee less of a breakfast  staple and more of an event, similar to fine wine.  Here is that walk down memory lane.

God Made Strawberries for Me – The Story – I have been missing my grandma lately.  I didn’t realize how much until I sat back and  assessed how much I have been writing about stories surrounding moments of my life when I with her or influenced by her.  She was such a pivotal part of my life, strong and independent.  My mom’s advice to me, one piece anyway, was a handed down piece.  To always prepare yourself well enough to take care of yourself.  Never assuming a comfortable ride would always remain as such.  Regardless, I have written a children’s story inspired by my grandma.

Men Don’t Think – A few excerpts straight out of my life experience with my beloved partner, significant other, father of my children, and my own personal cheerleader.

My Name is Alias Bat Killer – Finally, I found the email from a friend about her adventure that earned her the nickname, Bat Killer.  This is a great one for a good laugh!  Plus, find some interesting facts about bats with two facts that will blow your mind!

The Phone Conversation – A brief commentary about a mom having a phone conversation. How it really works.

Pooper Health – A tell-it-like-it-is story about poopers.  Plus, additional information about pooper health.  Here are also two websites I found incredibly humorous and entertaining complimentary to this Pooper Health story.  Farting Sound EffectsFart Names.

You Deserve It – This is a true short story about being a mom and having two toddlers in a restaurant.  It was my experience and one of those moments you hope to avoid but happens anyway.  Only this time, it was the twist at the end that still today leaves me wondering exactly how I should’ve responded.  Why?  Because although the circumstances are different, the mom feelings are not.

Gifts Unexpected

I am reminded, just in the last few minutes, how God sends you gifts when you least expect it. And sometimes it comes from strangers. People have such an amazing capacity for generosity.
